Assistant Professor of Astronomy
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at California State University Long Beach (CSULB) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Astronomy. We seek candidates who are committed to working with diverse students and promoting their access to scientific careers. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics or Astrophysics and at least one year of postdoctoral experience at the time of application, with a record of research in Astronomy and/or Astrophysics commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will teach Astronomy courses for non-majors as well as electives in Astronomy and Astrophysics, design and supervise observational astronomy events using the Department’s telescopes, and establish an active research program involving undergraduate and mas
