University of Florida Condensed Matter and Applied Physics REU
Participants in the program will conduct research and take part in group activities including seminars on cutting-edge areas in condensed matter and applied physics; workshops focusing on graduate programs, career opportunities in the physical sciences and engineering, and scientific communications skills; and field trips to laboratories on and off campus. The program is interdisciplinary with mentors from physics, chemistry, and several engineering departments. You can get a better idea of these activities from the program web site. For the Summer 2021 programthe anticipated stipend is $5,500. There is an allowance for travel to/from Gainesville, FL, and also housing is provided.
