Senior Executive Service as the Superintendent of the Space Science Division
You will serve as a member of the Senior Executive Service as the Superintendent of the Space Science Division at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) in Washington DC. You will be responsible for the conception, planning and formulation of the scientific program of the Division in pursuance of the needs of the Navy. The Space Science Division has approximately 120 civilian employees, contractors, postdoctoral fellows, visiting faculty and students and operates an annual budget of $55 million. You are a recognized authority in the field of space science. Major duties: • You will conduct a program of research development, test and evaluation leading to the creation, adoption and application of new concepts, principles, methods and techniques in the scientific field of space
