Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics
St. Mary’s College of Maryland invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics, beginning August 2024, with the possibility of renewal. This position is contingent on funding and subject to the approval of College administration. Teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses, possibly including introductory astronomy. The SMCM Physics Department received the 2017 Award for Improving Undergraduate Education from APS, and it was featured as a model in the report of the Joint Task Force on Undergraduate Physics Programs (J-TUPP) from APS and AAPT.  Qualifications: Ph. D. in Physics or a related field is required; teaching experience is preferred. An interest in attracting and retaining students from underrepresented
