Senior Particle Accelerator Scientist
The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences is searching for a senior accelerator scientist with an interest in managing the daily operations of the Michigan Ion Beam Laboratory. The ideal candidate will be expected to supervise and maintain the operation of laboratory instrumentation, to assist in the operation of the equipment of the lab (particle accelerators, ion sources, vacuum systems) in order to deliver high-quality ion beams to the users of the laboratory. Improving the laboratory capabilities and identifying future equipment and experimental needs and opportunities is also expected. The successful candidate will interact with and assist the users of the laboratory with their experiments and should be available on occasion, after hours, and during the weeken
