The Department of Physics at the University of South Florida (AAU institution), Tampa, is seeking to fill a 9-month, full-time, tenure-earning position at the Assistant Professor level in experiment or theory in quantum materials, quantum sensors, photonics, quantum computing, and related fields. All areas that encompass new applications in healthcare, environmental sensing, secure communications, and information science are included. Applicants must have a doctorate in Physics or a closely related field, relevant postdoctoral experience, strong record of publications, and demonstrate potential for attracting extramural funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The starting date is August 7, 2025.
