Two Instructors of Physics
The Department of Physics at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for two full-time, one-year, non-tenure track Instructor positions to begin August 2024. Appointees will teach introductory calculus- and algebra-based physics courses, including lectures, laboratories, and integrated studio-style classes. This would be a good opportunity for recent graduates and postdocs interested in academic positions to gain some experience with evidence-based teaching strategies.  Opportunities for research may be possible. The department also anticipates searching for at least one longer term appointment in the near future, for which successful candidates may be eligible to apply. A masters degree in physics or a related area is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. For more information, contact
