The Low Energy Neutrino Physics group at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa has an opening for a postdoctoral scientist. The successful candidate will carry out research in experimental low energy neutrino physics in the group of Andreas Piepke. The work will be focused on the preparation of the nEXO next generation neutrinoless double beta decay experiment, a search for Majorana neutrinos, requiring beyond Standard Model physics. The work of the group is in the areas of detection of ultra-trace amounts of radioactivity in materials, radiation detection, data analysis and detector simulation.
