Assistant Professor of Physics
Lake Forest College Department of Physics invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be able to teach in the classroom and laboratory at all levels in our physics curriculum. The standard teaching load is three courses per semester and a laboratory session counts as one course. The Department of Physics has research programs in electron-molecule collisions, quantum optics and laser spectroscopy, granular materials, computational physics, and acoustic levitation. A Ph.D. in physics is required (to be completed no later than August 2024) and postdoctoral training is a plus. Lab space in a new science center and research start-up funds will be provided.
