The positions will be in Condensed Matter Theory and Quantum Information within the Physics Department of the University of Konstanz. The start will be 1 September 2023 or later (by agreement) and the positions are available up to 4 years.
The doctoral researchers will investigate the physics of spin qubits, high-fidelity gate operations, and error mitigation with spin qubits. The research will include theoretical modelling and characterization of spin qubits, quantum coherent control, exploration of quantum gate operations, and theoretical investigation of crosstalk effects between active qubits.
A Master's degree in theoretical physics (or equivalent) is required, and experience in at least one of the following research areas: Condensed matter theory, Quantum information and quantum computation, Theory of solid-state qubits, Open quantum systems, Semiconductor physics, Physics of quantum dots.
