The Department of Physics at Brown University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Quantum Condensed Matter Theory, starting in the summer of 2024. We seek candidates who can create a vigorous and sustainable research program, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and foster an equitable environment that promotes diversity and inclusion.
The search is open to all subfields of quantum condensed matter theory including quantum information. The ideal candidate will bring new expertise to Brown’s Physics Department and welcome opportunities to collaborate synergistically with other faculty in Physics, the School of Engineering, and across the university. The Department of Physics is interested in qualified candidates who have demonstrated commitment to excellence by providing leadership in teaching, research or service toward building an equitable and diverse scholarly environment.
