We have an opening for several theoretical postdoc positions (initially for two years with possible extensions of up to 5 years) in the subject of quantum information with the focus on quantum simulation, and quantum sensing. The applicants will join the group of Professor Abolfazl Bayat and Dr. Victor Montenegro at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in Chengdu, China. Requirements
The early-career candidates should have a PhD degree in physics, computer science, or mathematics. People with previous experience on many-body physics, cavity optomechanics, machine learning, matrix product states and optimization algorithms are highly encouraged to apply.
Salaries and benefits
The salary is competitive with European universities and successful applicants will enjoy a reimbursement of up to 10000 RMB (~ $1500) for international travel or visiting family per year. In addition, the applicants will apply for external grants with which they can secure up to $30000 extra funding for their research activities.
