TECHNOLOGIST/ MICROSCOPIST
The Materials & Metallurgical Engineering Department at New Mexico Tech has an open position for a microscopist / technologist.  The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining the equipment in the Materials department and train students and staff on the proper operation.  The equipment is used for characterizing and testing the properties of materials.  The equipment includes electron microscopes, furnaces, optical microscopes, 3D printers, hardness testers, tensile testers, rheometers, and the like.   JOB FUNCTIONS: Training staff and students            20% Maintaining and repairing equipment            20% Ordering supplies            10% Billing for equipment usage            10% Safety and environmen
