The University of Montana Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for two (2) tenure-track faculty positions in astronomy and/or astrophysics beginning August 2023.  Appointments at the assistant professor level are expected, but a more senior appointment may be possible for exceptionally qualified candidates. We seek applicants who have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and the potential to develop an externally funded research program involving undergraduate physics majors. Start-up funds are available. Applicants from all fields of research (observational, theoretical, computational, or experimental) are invited to apply.
