Mississippi College invites applications for an Instructor or tenure-track Assistant Professor position in our undergraduate Physics program. The position has a preferred starting date of January 2023, although applications will also be accepted for a starting date of August 2023. Candidates must possess at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in the field of physics with the background necessary to teach undergraduate-level courses such as Trigonometry-based and Calculus-based Introductory Physics and some combination of the following: Modern Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Classical Mechanics, Optics, Engineering Mechanics, and Engineering Thermodynamics. Faculty members are expected to be exceptional instructors, provide quality advising to students, an
