AIP Publishing is seeking an Editorial Assistant who will support activities aimed at ensuring the success of the Conference Proceedings program.
Position:
- Manage the day-to-day administrative components of the Conference Proceedings program
- Run reports and conduct analysis to support end-to-end workflow process
- Partner with the Manager, Conference Proceedings and support the activities of the proceedings program. This includes a thorough understanding of the program objectives, including conference material submission, copyright requirements, proposals, contracts, billing, maintaining up-to-date statistics and budget planning.
- Monitor conference proceedings email inbox to review, categorize and respond to queries.
- Collaborate closely with internal business units to fulfill the strategic objectives of the journals
- Participate in projects and initiatives as needed to help drive strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, a degree in a physics or related field preferred
- Experience using Saleforce preferred
- Familiarity with research publication in physics-related journals a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literate knowledge of/experience with internet-based scientific communication
- Ability to take responsibility, assess complex situations, and work on own initiative
Must reside within NY, NJ, CT, MD, VA, PA, MA, RI or Washington, DC. This is a remote opportunity.
