Responsibilities: The Department of Physics at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL is seeking candidates with expertise in any area of Physics for a full-time Visiting Lecturer appointment starting August 2022. The successful applicant will be expected to provide exceptional instruction at the undergraduate level. Teaching assignments will be in the areas of introductory algebra and calculus-based Physics and related fields.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD degree in Physics or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Physics, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Candidates should possess the following:
- good communication skills,
- have recent teaching experience,
- have familiarity with distance learning teaching,
- knowledge of high impact practices and evidence-based teaching,
- interest in teaching lower-division introductory physics courses.
A strong commitment to teaching with demonstrated ability and enthusiasm in innovative methods of teaching labs and courses is required.
