Assistant Professor positions in AMO Physics / Quantum Information
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) invites applications for two Tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Physics beginning September 1, 2022, subject to funding availability. This hiring initiative focuses on the area(s) of experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics (AMO) with an emphasis in quantum information (e.g., qubits). One of the positions will be open only to experimentalists, whereas the other one will be open to both experimentalists and theoreticians. Candidates for these positions are expected to strengthen and complement our current experimental research on silicon nanophotonics, quantum optics, lasers, interferometry, fiber amplifiers, and manipulating individual atoms and molecules, as well as our th
