Interested in imaging, nanophotonics or quantum optics? We currently have multiple positions available for postdoctoral scientists. Projects include sensing with optically levitated nanoparticles, quantum optics with cavity polaritons and controlling electromagnetic energy flow will nanophotonic structures with applications in imaging and computing. Positions will involve a mix of theory and experiment working within a vibrant group of students and postdocs. Applicants will have expertise in some or all of the following: optics, electronics, nanofabrication and vacuum technology. Some of the work will be in close coordination with other research groups at the University of Rochester. It is expected the successful candidate will also be willing to mentor graduate and undergraduate students. A PhD in physics, engineering or closely related discipline is expected.
Positions are currently available and the initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. If interested please contact Nick Vamivakas at firstname.lastname@example.org.
