Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in science and engineering on behalf of national security. The Computer, Computational and Statistical Sciences Division (CCS) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is currently seeking a highly motivated applicant as a Quantum Information Postdoc Researcher.
The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team on numerous aspects of quantum information theory and quantum computing. You will produce the foundational research needed to understand the full potential and limitations of quantum information processing using both fault-tolerant as well as noisy, intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices; conduct research to identify areas of promise; develop theoretical and computational tools for quantum computers; and communicate research results through reports, presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
