The Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at Concord University invites applications for a position in Physics beginning August, 2021 (tenure-track, open rank). The candidate will develop and teach: Introductory physics sequences and affiliated laboratory sections for science, health, and computer science majors; general education astronomy; and an online course in physical science focusing on chemistry and physics for elementary education majors. An opportunity to develop and teach upper-level courses for a minor in physics is possible.
Applications are open to any subfield of physics, although the position would be ideal for those with a background in physics education. A Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field is required; ABD applicants may be considered. Open until filled.
