Job Description The Atom Photonics Lab at Delaware State University is currently seeking an applicant for a postdoctoral position in quantum sensing. This person will work on a DoD funded research project on cold-atom Raman clock and magnetometry, and spin-squeezing enhanced sensitivity. In particular, the person will plan, develop and conduct experiments on cold-atom based Raman clock and magnetometry. This involves developing and operating cold-atom systems, atomic clock development using Raman-Ramsey technique, magnetometry using synchronous coherent population trapping, and developing experimental platforms for implementing spin-squeezing protocols in atomic clock and magnetometry. Additionally, the person will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining various equipment in the laboratory, assist in report writing, teach substitute lectures/laboratory sessions of classes, and provide training and guidance to undergraduate and graduate students working on the project.
