The Wilczek Quantum Center (WQC) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University invites applications for one Tenure track position in theoretical physics at associate professor level. Successful candidates should lead top-quality research in one or more areas of theoretical physics, including, but not limited to, quantum computation and quantum information, cold atom and many body theory, statistical physics and complex systems (both quantum and classical). Candidates are also expected to teach effectively at undergraduate and graduate levels. We will provide salaries and start-up packages competitive in international standards. The starting dates of this position is negotiable. Outstanding candidates of all ethnicities and genders are encouraged to apply. Application materials, including CV, research/teaching statements, as well as 3+ reference letters, should be sent to Ms. Elaine Hu . Applications should be received by April 30, 2021 to receive full consideration.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is one of the top research universities in China.
Wilczek Quantum Center (WQC), as a theoretical unit of the School of Physics and Astronomy, is dedicated to research and teaching on broadly defined theoretical quantum physics.

About Wilczek Quantum Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
Wilczek Quantum Center (WQC), initially founded at Hangzhou in 2014, moved to Shanghai Jiao Tong University to become a new center for theoretical physics in Summer 2017. The Center is a unit of School of Physics & Astronomy, and has a strong connection with Tsung-Dao Lee Institute (TDLI). Currently, WQC has 12 faculty members, including the Chief Scientist (Frank Wilczek), 2 full professors, 2 tenure track assistant professors, and 8 associate faculty members. The research areas of WQC are broadly planned, including theory of quantum matter, quantum optics, quantum information, and cold atom physic as well as statistical physics and quantum-related biological problems. WQC is striving to become a world class theoretical quantum physics center with top-level reputation.
