Computer Science: Computer Design and Engineering, Computer Science: Information Technology, Physics: Computational
The Center for Quantum Computing (tentative) is a new research center to be launched in April 2021. In the center, we will study quantum information theory, develop techniques for quantum control and measurement, build quantum computing hardware and software, and explore novel quantum technologies. We will promote the progress of quantum information science and contribute to society through the application of quantum technologies.
Our unit pursues the realization of scalable superconducting quantum computers and conducts research and development of three-dimensional integration of superconducting circuits, including quantum chips and peripheral circuits. We extend the design method of a quantum chip to that of the system level, ensuring the system having scalability and integrability.
Job title and Job description
Technical staff I * (discretionary labor system) or technical staff II ** (non discretionary labor system) : a few positions
*Technical staff I must provide technical supports independently to implement the lab missions.
**Technical staff II must provide technical supports under the direction of the supervisor.
*The applicant will be assigned to an appropriate position based on his/her ability, aptitude, etc.
The successful candidates will work on the development of superconducting quantum computers, particularly on three-dimensional integration of superconducting quantum circuits using flip-chip bonding and through-silicon vias. Work experience in related fields such as nanofabrication is desirable.
