Tenure track position in environmental physics and mathematics
in the Department of Solar Energy and Environmental Physics of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU)
The Department of Solar Energy and Environmental Physics seeks applied mathematicians and/or physicists interested in environmental science problems. Candidates with a background in one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply, although candidates with other backgrounds may also be considered: statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics, (geophysical) fluid dynamics, pattern formation, mathematical modeling of environmental systems, and mathematics and physics of global scale processes and climate change.
The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with researchers in various BIDR departments and to contribute to the M.Sc. program in Environmental Physics and Solar Energy. The person who fills this position is also expected to teach undergraduate course(s) in departments at the main BGU campus, and will be offered an adjunct faculty position there (upon mutual agreement). The candidate should have post-doctoral experience and an excellent academic record.
