Within our 63 labs, our product testers base our results on government and industry standards, as well as standards we've developed to mirror the customer experience. Sometimes, our test methods become part of the industry standards.
As Test Program Leader, you will help define and implement the procedures and testing programs we use in our safety (both product and food safety) and sustainability endeavors to ensure that our methodologies and protocols are both state of the art and consumer-focused.
Local (tri-state) candidates are strongly preferred, as this position will eventually be based in our Yonkers, New York office.
Establish goals, milestones, and process for projects of varying diversity and scope;
Define and approve start-of-the-art test methodologies, protocols and procedures for new products, and modifications for existing products, as needed;
Maintain project schedules and budgets, allocating resources (including personnel, lab space and test equipment) for maximum efficiency;
Actively participate as a member of a product testing and content team, conferring with team members as necessary to ensure objectives for quality and timeliness are met;
Develop rating systems per organizational standards, ensuring they are delivered accurately and within deadlines;
May serve on outside standard setting organizations and interact with manufacturers and retailers.
You have a Bachelor of Science degree within a STEM discipline or an equivalent background with at least 15-years experience in laboratory science/engineering testing. An advanced degree within a STEM discipline is a plus;
You are proficient in advanced testing techniques and practices in multiple categories;
As a plus, you have experience with LabView and/or risk assessment calculations.
