We are seeking outstanding candidates who are interested in applying computational/mathematical methods to solve cutting-edge problems in immunology and cancer immunotherapy. The fellows are expected to work closely with our experimental collaborators and analyze single cell mass cytometry(CyTOF) and RNA-seq data, confocal imaging data, and develop data-driven and mechanistic models. Highly motivated and career-oriented applicants with expertise in statistical physics, inference methods, optimization techniques, topological data analysis, agent based models, field theoretic methods, and evolutionary dynamics are particularly encouraged to apply. No previous background in immunology is required, however, the fellow is expected to be interested in learning the relevant immunology and communicate with our collaborators. The will have the opportunity to engage in the interdisciplinary activities at the Ohio State University, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the newly established Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (https://cancer.osu.edu/for-cancer-researchers/research/research-institutes-and-centers/pelotonia-institute-for-immuno-oncology). The fellow is required to know to code in Python/R/C/C++. Applicants with a Ph.D degree in Physics/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science are encouraged to apply. The position will have the option of working remotely within guidelines in place for COVID19 response at NCH and OSU.
Das lab has access to a state-of-the-art computer cluster over 800 INTEL processors. Resources at the Ohio State University campus and Ohio Supercomputer Center are also available. The position will be for one year and can be potentially renewed.
