ELECTRONICS ENGINEER, NEXT-GENERATION EVENT HORIZON TELESCOPE, SMITHSONIAN ASTROPHYSICAL OBSERVATORY EHT is the project that produced the first ever image of a black hole, announced in press conferences worldwide on April 10, 2019. The EHT images emission from supermassive black holes on event-horizon scales, directly testing Einstein’s theory of general relativity in the strong field limit. Our team includes engineers, theoreticians, software developers, astronomers, and imaging algorithm experts. Our goal is to refine our breakthrough imaging in the near term, and advance to making real-time movies of black holes in the longer term. This position will provide expert electronics engineering, with digital signal processing specialization, to work with senior EHT ins
