Scientist - Photonics Engineer - Job ID 10398
Working in conjunction with the Quantum Sensing and Timing Group at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Dynamics Laboratory is looking for a person with the desire to be both a scientist and engineer in the field of frequency comb devices, specifically microcombs.  This position is very much like a post-doc, with a strong focus on hands on experiments and results. The lab itself is an experimentalist’s dream, outfitted with state-of-the-art instrumentation, electronics, and apparatus. Our goal is to use microresonator based photonic devices to make atomic navigation and timing systems. However, the problem is that no one really knows how to use microcombs devices reliably and robustly for applications beyond a research lab environment.  T
