Preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, in particular high vacuum systems
Electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
Disassembly, repair / refurbishment and reassembly of equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.
Equipment checks with the help of test and diagnostic tools
Work with manufacturing engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specs.
As needed, modification of equipment to improve up-time or overall process performance
Maintain documents and drawings as appropriate
Technical support to production as needed
Attend and participate in department safety meetings

ISO 9001 AND AS 9100 CERTIFIED EOE/M/F/Disabled/Disabled Veteran/Veteran.
2-year degree in Electronics/Vacuum Technology or similar technical degree
3-5 years of experience as a technician working with manufacturing equipment in a complex high vacuum environment
Experience working with high vacuum equipment such as cryo pumps, diffusion pumps, turbo pumps, vacuum controllers and compressors
Experience working with and rebuilding mechanical vacuum pumps
Excellent theoretical knowledge of vacuum systems, including high vacuum systems
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
Good math skills
Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Access)
Must be a US person

Ability to work efficiently with tools as required
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and sit or stand for long periods of time
Vision adequate to perform necessary tasks
Excellent manual dexterity
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
Ability to work with chemicals and equipment as required
Ability to wear cleanroom attire and/or PPE as required for the job
