The School of Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) seeks to appoint a Professor in Theoretical Quantum Information and Computing. The search is open rank and a strong link with the School of Computer and Communication Sciences is desired.
We primarily target scientific excellence by searching broadly in this area. Preference will be given to applicants who can produce innovative ideas in the area of quantum computing and quantum algorithms, in particular by developing ground breaking solutions in the fields of simulation and optimization on noisy quantum hardware, quantum inspired classical algorithms, quantum data science and quantum machine learning.
Candidates should have an excellent record of scientific accomplishments. In addition, commitment to teaching at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels is expected. Proficiency in French is not required, but a willingness to learn the language is appreciated.
