National Science Foundation supported Research Experience for Undergraduates program at the University of Rochester. Disciplines involved in recent years include: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Cosmology, Condensed Matter Physics, Quantum Optics and Optical Science, High Energy Density and Laser Physics.

Informal seminars each week on research topics and preparing for graduate school. Tours of research laboratories; outings to explore the Rochester area End of summer symposium at which participants present their research projects. Women, members of underrepresented minorities, and students from colleges that lack comparable research opportunities are encouraged to apply. Most applicants will have completed at least 4 semesters of college physics and math and will have completed their sophomore or junior year by June 2020. Graduating seniors are not eligible. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents in accordance with NSF requirement. |
