The Department of Physics at Rutgers University-Newark, https://sasn.rutgers.edu/physics, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to start in September 2020. Candidates in experimental physics in one or more of the following areas will be considered: Materials, Atomic/Molecular/Optical, Condensed Matter including Soft Condensed Matter, and Biophysics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field, and have post-doctoral research experience. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent, internationally recognized research program, contributing to the growth of our department, and to teach physics courses at the undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D) levels. Competitive start-up funds commensurate with the needs of the specific area will be provided.
