The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Portland State University seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. This faculty member would be expected to work closely with other members of the ECE Department and Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science on interdisciplinary research focused on environmental sensing and monitoring. Research areas that would support this effort include one or more of the following: acoustic and electromagnetic remote sensing, signal processing, machine learning, controls and autonomous systems (e.g., underwater vehicles). An emphasis will be placed on the candidate’s research originality, future potential and ability to collaborate. Applicants should have research agendas that are internationally recognized, regionally relevant and complement our existing research programs. Senior candidates, particularly at the Associate level, should also have a record of sponsored research. A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or related field, is required. Candidates who are ABD (All But Dissertation) will be considered, but must have completed their degree prior to the start date of employment.
