We are looking for a multi-talented experimentalist to develop and lead diagnostics and verification.
The ideal candidate will possess:
A Ph.D in Physics
A history of publication
Demonstrated ability to construct, diagnose and operate experimental devices
Experience with Plasma diagnostics (Thomson scattering a significant plus)
High Power, High Voltage safety and related issues (grounding, corona, etc)
Fabrication / Metalwork
Small signal electronics and instrumentation
Signal processing (small signals in noisy environments / statistical methods)
Additional qualities for success in this role:
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Willingness to challenge authority in a constructive manner
Curiosity and comfort to work through obstacles
Capability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment
