Outstanding applicants are sought for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Physics Department at Binghamton University with expertise in the synthesis of novel solid-state materials with a preference for quantum materials or 2D materials.
The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent research program, contribute effectively to our undergraduate and graduate teaching programs, and complement the university’s ongoing condensed matter and materials physics research programs.
A PhD in Physics or a related field and postdoctoral experience are required. Applicants are also expected to contribute to the university's Materials Science and Engineering program.
