The department of physics at Kansas State University is accepting applications for a Research Associate in the area of theoretical atomic, molecular, and optical physics in the research group of Prof. U. Thumm. Applicants are expected to have a strong background in intense-field ultrafast laser science and scientific computing, and to vigorously participate in ongoing research in the JRM laboratory (see http://www.phys.ksu.edu/area/jrm/). The initial appointment will be for one year and is renewable for a second and third year.
The preferred start date is February 1, 2019.
