Open-Rank Professor Position – Advanced Materials Physics and Spectroscopy
The UAB Department of Physics, https://www.uab.edu/cas/physics/, invites applications for an Open Rank, open tenure, faculty position that will enhance the Department’s program in Advanced Materials Physics and Spectroscopies. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, advanced control and characterization of complex and quantum materials and plasmas, laser-matter and ultrafast interactions, and properties of materials under extreme and non-equilibrium conditions. The new faculty member will also be a part of an interdisciplinary and multi-institutional program supported by NSF EPSCoR (www.uah.edu/cpu2al). She/he must have an outstanding publication record and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and supervising research at both graduate and undergraduate levels. We particularly welcome applicants from underrepresented groups in physical sciences. Screening of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
