Postdoctoral opening in experimental high pressure condensed matter physics
University of Missouri
August 2, 2018
Physics: Condensed Matter
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in experimental condensed matter physics/materials science (high pressure research) in the group of Prof. Suchi Guha at the University of Missouri, Columbia. The main focus of the project will be to understand the ramifications of spin-orbit coupling in hybrid perovskite materials using high pressure techniques. For more information on the Guha research group, see http://faculty.missouri.edu/guhas/
Candidates should have a strong background in Physics or Materials Science, and have the experience in working with diamond anvil pressure cells for conducting spectroscopic and transport measurements. Preference will be given to candidates who have the experience in high pressure electrical measurements.
Applications should include a CV, a list of publications, summary of research accomplishments, and the names and contact addresses of at least two references. Please send applications to Prof. Suchi Guha (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal for another year. Full consideration of applications will begin immediately, and will continue until the position is filled. Targeted start date is September 1, 2018. The University of Missouri is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages applications from women and minority candidates.
