Rochester, New York
Physics: Condensed Matter
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position in extreme condensed matter physics, mainly focused on thermometry and magnetic sensing using NV-centers in diamond at high pressures. The candidate will design experiments for superconducting materials at high pressures using NV-centers in diamond optical magnetometry. We welcome applications from candidates with extensive experience in NV magnetometry. Evaluation of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The start date is flexible, but preferably before December 2018. The position is for one year, renewable up to three years subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. Salary and benefits are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. More details can be found by contacting Prof. Ranga Dias at email@example.com. Applications should be emailed as a single pdf file to firstname.lastname@example.org and must include (i) a brief letter (max 2 pages) describing the candidate’s academic background and interests (ii) CV, and (iii) arrange three letters of reference directly emailed to email@example.com.
