: The Fab Tech Development Department, 05229, is seeking a technologist to assist the department's semiconductor/microelectronics fabrication needs\. The individual will work with a group of other staff, technologists, post\-docs, and students in a team environment to deliver high impact S&T work\. They will be expected to work with acids, bases, and solvents to fabricate microelectronic devices using traditional and non\-traditional semiconductor fabrication techniques\. This includes using state of the art fabrication tool sets for deposition, removal, and lithography of metals, semiconductors, and insulating materials sets for microelectronic fabrication\. The team is tasked to fabricate, test, and deliver such microelectronic based devices to both internal and external customers\. In this fast paced, team oriented environment, the individual must have excellent problem solving, teaming, documentation, and communication skills\. On any given day you may be called upon to: + Execute lithography and fabrication of nanoscale electronic devices using advanced microscopic techniques, resists, and chemistries\.+ Perform specific processing steps in the micro\-fabrication of microelectronic devices\.+ Work with chemical solvents, acids, and bases\.+ Develop experimental processes, utilize novel analytical techniques, establishes new characterization methods, optimize existing laboratory and characterization techniques, and perform experiments\.+ Develops and maintains material and process specifications to support engineering and scientific processes and works with key suppliers\.+ Performs data analysis and interpretation, statistical error analysis, materials characterization, and information extraction, and formally documents result for the customer\.+ Support documentation and publication efforts, including the preparation of information for scientific and engineering publications\.+ Performs work in a safe and compliant manner, seeks out subject matter expert advice as needed, and maintains the necessary documentation\. Required: + Bachelor's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related STEM field or high school degree and 10 years' experience+ Willingness to perform research in a team environment, communicate in a team environment, and perform on team/individual critical\-path elements to meet R&D needs and goals+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance\. Desired: + Semiconductor/microelectronics fabrication experience in areas of deposition or etch using metal and semiconductor material sets\.+ Experience working in clean room environments\.+ Background in photolithography using negative and positive tone polymers\.+ Metal and oxide deposition and etching targeting microelectronics 3\-D and 2\.5\-D wafer level devices\.+ Metrology experience to include SEM, profilometry, X\-ray fluorescence, etc\.+ Experience in pneumatic pumping of fluids and high vacuum science applications\.+ Ability to develop and maintain required technical work documents\.+ Communicate in a multi\-discipline team environment through verbal and email conversations efficiently and effectively to deliver on R&D needs\.
