Why does the job exist:
The Gamma Americas Sales Manager will leverage Vacuum Technique sales rep/distn channels (Edwards, Leybold), as well as apply direct account management responsibility to high-value customer opportunities (eg. OEMs, large lab facilities).
This position also requires proactive gathering of data, based on market/product/pricing trends, in support of strategic planning for the Gamma brand.
This role with continue the legacy “rep & distributor” support (i.e.. Training, product recommendations) provided by the predecessor Gamma employee( i.e.. replace individual previously covering these duties before acquisition by Edwards).
Analyze and develop sales growth strategies in the Americas (North/South) in line with overall goal and in cooperation with the BLM. He/she will develop strategies to contribute to aggressive share growth through value and strategic positioning.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding the revenue goals for Gamma products in America
Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to build and reinforce target market share and profitability
Prioritize customers/sectors for sales focus in agreement with Business Line Manager
Coordinate major sales and key contract negotiations for the business line in the Americas region
Sales support, product training & supervision of rep/distributor accounts
Contribute to forecasting of ongoing business and identifying opportunities to address share growth
Ownership of the Share and penetration objectives and / or Territory Action Plans for the sectors
Develop the business line within the defined business territory
Actively assess and optimize best sales channels, direct and indirect
Lead, develop, and motivate an experienced sales and support team in the region towards continuous success
Ensure optimum behavior and performance of the business line in the Americas, acting as first point of escalation of business resolution issues.
Contribute to team knowledge and develop of talent within the business line
Safeguard a safe and healthy working environment

Dynamic problem solver with strong customer and financial results focused, success track record
Good interpersonal and proactive communications skills, working within both small business and complex corporate matrix situations.
Able to “lead by persuasion” indirect sales channel
Experience with detail account management planning and process/success
Science or engineering degree or equivalent working experience
Strong knowledge of high and ultra-high products and applications
Proven track record in sales and management of indirect-sales (rep and distributors) 5-7yrs
Sound commercial success and strength in negotiation
Possession of business acumen, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills
Experience in relevant diffused R&D and analytical market
Training and/or presentation related to technical products and applications.
Very strong customer orientated attitude
