AIP Publishing is looking for an Executive Editor to develop and lead a new portfolio of ‘high quality’ journals serving the Applied Physics, Chemical Physics and Bio-Physics communities. This newly created role will ensure the editorial success of this new brand which aims to publish the best research across the Physical Sciences.
The Executive Editor will need to:
have a clear vision and editorial strategy for the creation and on-going development of this new journal portfolio;
build and lead a dynamic team of staff and operate as part of a close-knit team;
lead the evolution of journal policies, workflows and systems to meet the needs of the research community;
represent AIP Publishing and its journals on an international stage.
This role will be based in AIP Publishing’s Long Island offices in New York and, as such, candidates must have the right to live and work in the U.S. Previous experience performing and managing peer-review as a journal editor is a must, alongside post-doctoral work in an area of relevance to the Physical Sciences.
