Assist in performing the R&D for our solar cell project. Job requires on-campus characterization of material and electronic properties for thin film solar cells and devices.
The student will work with the responsible lab faculty on campus to characterize the films using surface analytical tools such as: XRD, SEM; AFM, SIMMS, XPS, UPS. On-campus training will be provided if necessary.
Student may also work at InterPhases laboratory, using electrochemical and electro-optical methods as needed for solar cell development.
The student will receive interdisciplinary experience in electrochemistry, material science, device physics and the application of these disciplines for solar energy conversion into electric power.
Graduate or senior level student with research training
Technical background in engineering, material science, chemistry and physics;
Experience with analytical equipment & programming.
Laboratory research experience in physics and chemistry.
Telecommuting is allowed.
