The Department of Biological and Physical Sciences at South Carolina State University invites applications from Ph.D. experimental physicists who are strongly committed to undergraduate teaching and research. This tenure track position requires the applicant to teach classes and conduct research with undergraduate majors in physics and related fields. Teaching responsibilities will include lecture and laboratory courses in general physics and physical science courses. The successful applicant must be able to teach a Radioisotope Laboratory course, and mentor students who wish to pursue a career in the medical applications of physics. Additional departmental and university duties include service on committees, advising students, participation in special projects and similar activities. A Ph.D. in physics or equivalent in a closely related field with Health or Radiation Physics expertise is required. The position will remain open until filled.
