Opportunity: The Physics Department at Kent State University invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty position beginning in Fall 2018. The successful candidate will be appointed at an academic rank appropriate to his or her credentials.
The successful candidate will teach multiple introductory undergraduate courses and laboratories, primarily for non-physics majors. The candidate will also have the opportunity to develop such courses in collaboration with other faculty. Additional duties may include undergraduate advising, community outreach and recruiting activities.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in Physics or a related area is required, while a Doctoral degree is preferred. Significant teaching experience in introductory physics is essential. Experience in teaching and developing courses using innovative methods is a plus.
