The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (MPCS) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in physics beginning August 15, 2018.
The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is a two-year regional campus of the University of Cincinnati that also awards a variety of four-year technical degrees. The MPCS Department currently has 22 full-time faculty including four teaching physics. The successful candidate will be required to teach any of the courses taught by the physics faculty. Currently, these courses range from introductory physics and introductory astronomy to engineering physics. Additionally, engaging in physics and/or physics education research is required. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the governance and committee work of the department, college, and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per term and may include evening classes; class sizes normally range from 16 to 32 students. Salary is commensurate with credentials. Minimum Qualifications: A Master's degree in physics or physics education; minimum of three academic years of experience in teaching physics courses.
