The Department of Physics at High Point University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Physics at the Assistant Professor rank beginning August 2018. We welcome applications from candidates in all fields of physics and astronomy but are especially interested in experimentalists specializing in biophysics, hard or soft condensed matter, or similar fields. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate physics courses at all levels, with an opportunity to develop first-year seminars, interdisciplinary honors courses, and general education courses for non-science majors. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain a vigorous research program involving undergraduate students and contribute to the Department and wider University through service responsibilities.
