Beginning in the summer of 2018, this REU program will accept up to eight students for a ten week research program in many areas of physics and astronomy. We are focusing on women and minorities from the Four Corners states and Texas, but undergraduates of all genders and groups nationwide are encouraged to apply.
Travel, food and housing expenses are covered. Students also receive a stipend, as well as some support for presenting their REU research at a conference after the summer. Students will also present their work during the summer. There will also be an active social program of outings to research facilities in New Mexico and hikes that take advantage of the state's excellent natural scenery.
