The intellectual focus of the program is mathematical systems biology. Participants will be able to experience a wide range of modeling approaches and application domains, and will be immersed in intense, multi-faceted research programs in mathematical science. The program is hosted at the Center for Quantitative Medicine at UConn Health.
Center for Quantitative Medicine is a research center that brings together expertise ranging from computational biology and bioinformatics to statistics and health informatics, with a heavy emphasis on mathematical methods underpinning those fields.
About UConn Health - Center for Quantitative Medicine
The University of Connecticut was founded in 1881. Its charter includes instruction, research and public service. It offers degrees at the undergraduate and graduate levels through the Ph.D. program. There are approximately 3,000 faculty and staff at The University of Connecticut Health Center with approximately 5,000 at the main campus. The Center for Quantitative Medicine (CQM) is a research cen...ter at UConn Health which provides a formal home for the integration of quantitative and computational approaches and data to impact biomedical disease processes. The Center and its faculty pursue research in the broad areas of bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, biostatistics, genomics, and systems and computational biology.
